Awhile ago I wrote describing how, since updating to 9.2.2, I was unable to connect directly using Command-K - remote access always got hung up on Starting Protocols until I tried a second time.
Someone kindly wrote to me to say they had found a work around involving clicking around a bit before trying to connect. This worked for me as well. Recently, however, I read a response concerning another problem that advised throwing preferences out and tried it with my Remote Access Pref file. This cured the problem definitively! No more clicking around required. Just thought I would pass the discovery on in case anyone else had the problem.
