I have now tried several routes to get may many mailmessages out of Emailer and it all breaks on either one of these things
1. Nothing happens when trying to import to the new application. This is the case with Entourage X. In Entourage for OS 9 I don't even see the option for importing from Emailer. 2. Extended ASCII breaks. I can get the messages out with Outlook Express 4.5 as an intermediate format, but then the encoding headers or the actual chars that are extended ASCII chars get screwed up in either the headers or in the body. Result is that words with extended ASCII looks ugly. I have the same problem with Emailchemy, even if it claims Emailer 2 support now. 3. Outgoing messages stops exporting. Things almost works with the export Edudora script. The reason it still does break is that I have deleted accounts that certain outgoing messages is associated with and the script have no fallback for that situation. So for folders with outgoing, this doesn't work. I have reviewed the database to see if the accounts was to be a found in a backup, but it's all in one big file and no clear markers (to me at least) on where an account begins and ends. Another solution would be to tweak the script, but I need help there. So 2 seems like a dead end. How can I get any action with 1? After all Entourage X says it can do it, but the process drops to 1% and stays there for hours. It isn't doing anything. What is it waiting for? Where can I find a mailinglist or group for Entourage X? Anyone is interested in assisting in tweaking Eudora Exort script? I'm not enough of an adept with AS to cut it myself, but I think I have basic clue on what the script does and what a solution should do instead.
