My solution -- particularly on lists such as this -- is to ask the quoter 
to =quit= quoting back everything (like you did), since I've already had 
a chance to read it.(g)

With people who insist on sending me "forwarded" crap (and 99.999 percent 
of it =is=) I ask them if they =must= circulate such stuff to use BCC 
distribution. If they keep it up I ask to be =excluded= from their 
mailings. Usually their feelings get hurt and they quit sending me 
=anything=... which I appreciate.
