<Well, maybe a lot of us ARE 'crazy'. Guess I'm
just crazy for sticking to what works and feels
comfortable. I need three screens, comfortable
email, modest browsing, and real estate for my
current project list FAR more than I give a flyin
rip about warp speed. Now that I'm doing all the
current projects, its really a fiasco thinking in
terms of an 'upgrade' that loses me a screen or two.>

Count me in with those "loonies who refuse to upgrade" -- at least so far
as OS X goes. Okay, I don't need three screens (my present 19" monitor
provides all the "screen real estate" I require, a 17" would also do, and
I could still function a lot more easily with a 14" or 15" than I would
with upgrade-related headaches), everything else you just mentioned,
absolutely.

I'm in this for comfort and easy computing, not for "can I hook in the
transwarp drive and run with the highest OS possible my Mac can possibly
run -- or buy a newer, faster Mac which already has those things -- just
so I can 'keep up' with my fellow listers?" Yes, that's how it all feels
to me, at least, being on a couple of LEM lists as well as this list, and
reading their posts too.

There may come a time when I DO decide it's necessary to upgrade to OS X
and will be "ready" to deal with the technical headaches, but I just
don't see that happening until something comes along that I somehow
really, REALLY want to/have to do, which absolutely can NOT be done on
9.2.2. Presently, I'm nowhere near that point.
