All: Further the recent discussion about Emailer alternatives, I've been playing with PowerMail, Mailsmith (upon Chris' comments about it) and Mail.app. Have gayzamail, but haven't tested it yet.
Conclusion--Emailer is still my favorite and I'll use it as long as possible. Briefly: Mail.app--huh?! Not intuitive at all. Mailsmith--over-engineered. Simple commands, e.g. tabbing between panes, don't work as expected. Powermail--best of the bunch, but no autofile log. This all on a powerbook G4 1.25, OS X 10.4.5 768Mg RAM. Now a request for help. Emailer is hanging on a message that is being sent to one of four accounts. Email becomes totally unresponsive. Force quiting is the only solution. I know that I need to delete the message from the server, but this account is being hosted by Earthlink, which hosts my company's web, but to which I no longer have an individual account, hence I can't long into earthlink via the web and manually delete the message. Accessing mail and the web is via mchsi.com (media com high speed internet cable modem). I can long on to the media com web site and view mail, only mail sent to my [EMAIL PROTECTED] account. I can't access mail at my troublesome account via mchsi.com. Any suggestions short of emailing earthlink tech support and asking them to delete that message. BTW, Mailsmith did successfully download the troublesome message. Mail.app did not. It didn't hang, just didn't download it. I find Mail. app extremely confusing. Cheers. bevon ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
