I'm really not sure I understand what the problem is. China has laws, if you want to do business in China, you have to obey the laws. Its really that simple. So Google has two choices, 1: obey the laws, 2: don't do business in China. If Google doesn't do business in China, then someone else will. There is a demand for their services. So if it is inevitable that someone will do business, why shouldn't Google do it? They will achieve nothing by taking a stand and refusing to do business. Yes, China's censorship laws suck. No I do not agree with their laws. But it isn't up to me (or anyone else in the USA that keeps harping on this subject) to change the law. It is up to China and its residents to do that. And believe me, it WILL happen, China is rapidly becoming a back door capitalist country. They say Communist on the name tag, but they have started to pronounce it Capitalist. Besides, if you are one of the USA people that feel your views and ideals need to be shoved on the rest of the world because there can't possibly be alternate view points... then you should be HAPPY it is a USA company getting in the door to lead the search engine industry in China... after all, once Google has established its dominance, they will be in a much better position to start bending the laws, until they can fully break them. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
