> I've only just moved over to "Tiger" but still running a > lot of Classic Apps. > The referenced quote was from way back, and on another topic: web browsers. However, I was looking over past Emailer digest for some discussion of how users of Emailer have made the leap to Tiger, while still running Classic Apps..... such as Emailer. I'd like to hear some more discussion here about whether there's still some sentiment for "hanging on" to the ability to run Classic apps... e.g. Emailer vs "moving on". I've made some preliminary gestures toward Tiger, because it does have many features which have allure. And, if *you* have Tiger, but still run apps that only run on Classic in OS 10.3 (or in OS 9.x) do you suggest that I consolidate the "old" applications and run them only on a separate volume with OS 9, or to do away altogether with OS 9, and continue to run Classic under OS 10.3.9...... while also installing Tiger onto another volume. (The latter choice seems rather awkward to me. But, considering the problem I caused in the transfer of my Emailer mail index and database files from OS 9 into OS X.... , the easier I can make this transition... when it happens.... the better.)
