Got this from a friend about his problems with Thunderbird - if anyone has any ideas I could pass along I'd appreciate it - Thanks.

Various people send me e-mail posts which
I open with my Mozilla Thunderbird. I have
what I believe to be the latest version 1.0.7
(20050923).

Depending on who sends me an e-mail, about 10%
of the time, I have a problem forwarding the material
to someone else. Most people send me stuff
and I have no problem either copying the
graphics or forwarding all or only a part
of the post.

In particular, there is one person whose
e-mail I get frequently which I can never forward.
It is representative of the problem and all my
comments will refer to the problem with his e-mail:

If the message contains a graphic or several
graphics, I see it OK in the body of the
message along with the text, which can be either
HTML or ASCII plain text.

Try as I can, I have been unable to forward
what I see. If I try to forward I get
< (null).eml > in the attachment window
and nothing is there.

With some people's e-mail that gives me the
< (null).eml > problem, I can "EDIT MESSAGE AS NEW"
and work from the result, but this will not work
with the e-mail in question.

Obviously, he has his Microsoft Outlook Express configured
in some way that my Mozilla cannot handle. However,
I figure that since I have no trouble with the other
90% of folks that send me e-mail, it must be that he has
set something weird in his software. I would tell him
to change it, but have no idea what the problem is.
None of his other mail recipients (who are using
MS Outlook Express) have any trouble forwarding his
e-mail, but there is something about his e-mail
that my Mozilla Thunderbird chokes on.

If I had him send something to you directly, could
you tell anything by looking at his e-mail ?
This is really frustrating to me.

I like Mozilla MUCH better than the Microsoft
software and I hope to keep using it-- I just
wish I could solve a couple of pesky problems
with both Mozilla Thunderbird and Mozilla Firefox.

Thanks for any feedback you may have.

I could ask the guy to send something to you directly
so you could get a first hand look at what I am seeing.
