Hi all -

This has been a great list for me, you guys know more about Emailer than the
original writers probably did. I have, in the past, fielded questions about the
various problems I had with it and always got quick, correct answers. You are a
great bunch of people.

I have a question, though, that no matter how I phrase it, it probably will
sound bad, and I want to make it VERY plain that I am NOT being snotty or rude,
I seriously want to know.

I kept my PMG3 266 until late last year, when I found that Internet Exploder
for Classic and those browsers that actually would run on the machine were
getting out-of-date. After 9 years I broke down and bought a quad-core G5. I
run a G5 and Mail at work, so I just decided that, rather than have to use
extra RAM running Classic I’d just make the switch to Mail all around.

In the early days of Mail, it was klunky, unreliable (by comparison with [EMAIL
PROTECTED]) and a PITA to use. In the recent iterations, though, it has become
sleeker and much more viable as an email client. This is, of course, my
opinion.

But [EMAIL PROTECTED] is more than a little long in the tooth. With each new
technical change (I hesitate to call them “advances”) [EMAIL PROTECTED] becomes
more frail, more finicky, and harder to manage.

So my question to this august group is, after 11 years (I think, maybe more)
why continue to use this application? Are you all like me, keeping it because
you are comfortable with it, or is there something else?

Don’t get me wrong - I LIKE EMAILER. It just seems that it is a lot of trouble
to run and maintain now that there are more viable alternatives available
(though I admit that in the past there were not).

Again - please do NOT take the question for condescension, arrogance, or
anything else negative. I truly want to know.

Thanks for your time!

Richard
