am running Emailer just fine when booted up on my OS X drive, Tiger
(I'm coming to you on 10.4.8 right now in fact). The only glitch I've had on occasion is that sometimes I'll see a whole bunch of emails coming in on the Connection Status Screen, but they don't "unpack" the way they did under straight OS 9 -- and they "disappear." First time that happened it
scared the living crap out of me, but I quickly (though accidentally)
found out that if I quit Emailer and then reboot it, all the "missing"
emails automatically show up in my Inbox. Now it doesn't bother me at all
when that happens.

this is the .DS_Store problem, the fix has been mentioned repeatedly on this list, but since it is simple, I'll repeat it again.

Quit EMailer, Start Emailer, let any remaining mail unpack. Quit Emailer again. Throw out your Temp Incoming folder (located in your Emailer application folder -> Emailer Files folder -> Temp Incoming).

Close ALL open windows. Start Emailer, the problem should now be gone and emails will properly unpack as soon as they are downloaded.
