Apologies for not mentioning it; yes, I'm running version 1.1.4.
http://www.lacie.com/silverkeeper/

As far as LaCie is concerned, it's "unsupported". On that basis, I've
never bothered to communicate with them. Mind you, I've never had
anything useful to tell them other than "it's happened again and I don't
know why"!

I know all about the .DS_Store problem and I've never suffered from it.
Although I can't be absolutely certain (it's invisible of course) there
was no evidence that the .DS_Store file was present in the 'Temp
Incoming' folder.

It will be a while before I "hit the road" with my iBook again. I'll be
prepared next time and I'll look out for problems.

My other G4 also has the same problem with SilverKeeper. Unfortunately,
it occurs only with scheduled backups and I haven't been able to
reproduce it manually. I don't use Claris Emailer on the machine,
although it is installed in case of an emergency. Maybe I should delete
those folders just in case!

(Note, I'm on digest. I haven't received a digest today so I'm responding
to Chris's direct copy of his post to me. If anyone else responded I'll
see your post eventually!)
