Being a bit of a compulsive AppleScripter, I can now save as PDF from TextEdit, Safari or Preview from a single, simple script and key command. Never any trouble with that >machine. What a gem! But for the weight and bulk, the Kanga is/was my favorite PowerBook... and compatible with all the peripherals of the 5300. I nursed the same basic form factor for years... and the Kanga is still close by in a file drawer 'in case'... but has now been replaced by a PB G4 12"... and finally, OS X. I wouldn't have bothered, I don't think, if I hadn't felt the need for a modern web browser. Odd what we deem paramount, at times.
