But this is the problem I am having Martin - I forget to put enter a 
subject and Mail sends it out without a subject - and I too hate 
receiving subjectless mail.

So, I wish I could find an option in prefs whereby I could make Mail tell 
me when I am attempting to send subjectless - how does it stop you?
