Best bet is to use Web Mail from your ISP. I know it's a pain, but you likely can't connect directly to your ISP while travelling so you get the dreaded Relaying Denied (I'd guess with =all= email apps). I was able to get to BellSouth Web Mail from Italy and France and read/send email with no problems (once we got the settings sorted out after connecting the iBook to an Ethernet outlet freed up by disconnecting one of the Windoz machines...> Well, OK....I don't stay in hotels (and it's been 15 years or so since I've been in one), but this is what I've done about email when going to visit my boyfriend who lies five states away.... My Powerbooks all have CE on them, and are configured with the local access number, the one local to HIS town, for my ISP, as well as my home-local one in case my desktop Mac is down. So when I'm up there, I just hook a telephone wire to my Powerbook and tell it to dial in, and have CE pick up my email, then I reply and send. When I was thinking I might visit my mother in Florida a couple of years ago, I got my ISP's local access numbers for her city and, had I gone, would have done the same thing there that I do in New Hampshire at my boyfriend's house. Therefore, I imagine if I was going to travel somewhere and stay in a hotel, I'd get the access numbers local to the city where the hotel was. Sounds simple enough to me! ;-) ~Yersinia. ________ "A fine is a tax for doing wrong.
