It is likely some kind of spam filter that is blocking the email. Either locally on his machine (does he have a Junk folder that he has checked), or at the server level at his mail host, or (less likely but possible) at your outbound mail server.

Did you try sending via a different email account? That will help isolate if it is the email address or associated outbound mail server (along with trying a different address, I'd try a different outbound server if possible).
