Well,

I bought a PowerBook G4 just recently with OS 10.4.10 installed. My main
computer still is a beige G3 MT with OS 8.6

I copied my OS 8.6 programs to the PowerBook's HD for using them with the
Classic environment.

I own the PowerBook for two months now and I found that I didn't need ANY of
the classic gadgets I had installed for Mac OS 8.6. For several I downloaded
Mac OS X versions (GraphicConverter e.g.) the rest I simply didn't need. I
deleted quite a lot of the Classic stuff already from the PowerBook G4.

If you need something dearly, start a search with Google. Maybe there's
already an OS X version available or you find information which OS X program
replaced the pre-OS X program.

Regards,

Udo
