10.4.3 has been working so nicely for me that it's hard to find (good)
reason to, but...
I can say, at least in terms of the period line wrap issue cutting
off the end of a message, this is not an OS X issue. So it isn't
something you need to avoid upgrading to avoid having it happen. It
is an Emailer issue, and can happen under any OS version that Emailer
is used on (I used to see it with OS 9).
I never did figure out why it seems to happen for some people on a
fairly regular basis, and not at all for others.
