I just replied to that mail, but Port 587 didn't send it though I tried
to. I had to go back to my "regular" CE.

Error message in the Log -- "network stream error."


That's what I figured would happen. It means your regular ISP doesn't support port 587. That is why it doesn't work when you are at hot spots.

Now, as to why it works when you are at your BFs, I can't say, are you changing the outbound (SMTP) server when you visit him?
