Bea: Not that it's strictly relevant, but I use 'Service Default' encoding to send to Mac users and Base 64 to send to PC users.
Does Base 64 work uniformly to send to Macs? If so, I'll change the default in Emailer's prefs. It sounds like your laptop battery _might_ be failing... they do have a limited lifespan, after all. Laptop fans can come on (or should, anyway) anytime there's a need. Depending on your machine, there may be multiple sensor switches that will turn on the fan(s) if an internal component gets too hot. 'TruBlue Environment' is quite simply Apple's clever term for the Classic emulation process... as viewed in the Activity Monitor. No mystery.
