So I did all my important content work on AppleWorks, on my system 9 iMac, and now on my OSX Mac Book I can't even open those AppleWorks documents: help!
AppleWorks could save the documents in Microsoft Office formats... at least text and spreadsheet files, as far as I remember. Save your files (tedious, I know) in Office document formats and open those with Microsoft Office on your MacBook.
