help me across the street.. - the NML machinery has network capability - it is possible to run remote GUI's (see for instance http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emcinfo.pl?Running_Multiple_User_Interfaces)
However, in Axis editing the tooltable works on a local file, so this assumes a common filesystem between Axis and iocontrol ; in Touchy I'd have to dig deeper if there's any tooltable editing capability buried in there so what does that mean: - yes, you can run a remote Axis but without tooltable editing except if on a common network filesystem - geez, stop bothering - nobody uses such a setup? IOW: can I assume a common filesystem if tooltable editing in the UI is to be enabled? -Michael ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get a FREE DOWNLOAD! and learn more about uberSVN rich system, user administration capabilities and model configuration.
