The Free Software community has clearly decided that the GPL version 3
is an acceptable license.  Due to incompatibilities between the GPL
version 2 and version 3, I believe it is pragmatic to take steps that
will allow emc to be combined with GPLv3 code in some future release.
This can be achieved by using the "GPLv2 or greater" license.

To that end, I make the following declaration concerning my
contributions to emc:

Any code that I have contributed to emc may be used under the "GPLv2 or
greater" license.
