Everyone has a favorite. I'm fond of nedit. Old-timers swear by Emacs, which I think of as the Swiss-Army knife that cuts you no matter which blade you open, but that's just me. Vi/vim is available on most any Unix/Linux machine. It's been around for ever, is a thin shell over ed, and I've used it for so long on so many different machines I can't get the commands out of my head any more. Regards, Kent PS - I assumed you meant on Unix/Linux. There are ports of this programs to MS Windows but there are also others in that environment. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All the data continuously generated in your IT infrastructure contains a definitive record of customers, application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more.
