+1 on this. When the wikipedia-police wanted to take down the emc2 wikipedia entry I spent an afternoon digging up as many emc2-references as I could find. They are listed here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enhanced_Machine_Controller
In addition to historical references I would think there is room for a section in the manual for a list of more recent references. I can do this if I can get some pointers on how to do it and where it would fit in the manual. On the emc2 wiki there used to be a page "how to get started with documentation" which had instructions on installing LyX etc. Is there anything similar for the current workflow (asciidoc+git)?
