Anyway, it just seemed too difficult to combine Glade, Python, swig and C, when all I really needed was glade and C. So, I now have most of what I need working with just glade and c. I'm currently having a little trouble obtaining a pointer to a text box to write into from C, the rest of the GUI is working.
