Thank you,Viesturs. I have experices of porting Xenomai linux to ARM9.Therefore i think it's possible to port LinuxCNC to Imx257. RT-preempt is "soft" realtime. I have ported RT-preempt to IMX257, the max jitter is about 400us for 1ms task. So i think RT-preempt is not enough for ARM9 to run LinuxCNC. I also plan to design an axis board with 4 encoder inputs and 4 anologe outputs to control servo in true close loop mode.
