Looking to the schematics, the MCP3428 datasheet and 
the price it is generally usefull if the analog input range fits your needs.

Plus: if rpi is connected over ethernet to a pc there is electrical isolation
from pc ground to the analog ground. (Connecting 2 rpi's (version1)
to a ethernet switch I see infinite resistance between rp's grounds.)
