Thanks to everyone for not pointing out the glaring error in my 
enumerated states: for Estop I meant on when I said off and off when I 
said on. It's not the first time my fingers were working faster than my 
neurons.

Chris' replies have shown me he's put serious thought into his 
interface. I'm just a punter using a tabletop mill with no bells or 
whistles who has more experience with software than CNC machinery. I was 
just guessing there are folks who work the way you do.

I look forward to hearing how testing Gscreen with your BP goes for you.
