I've been pushing and pulling various branches around github, and actually *READ* the top-level README file that github helpfully throws up on the front page of each repository. It seems like a few changes might be desired for the upcoming 2.6 branch:
"THE AUTHORS OF THIS LIBRARY ..."
IMHO LinuxCNC is substantially more than a library, perhaps SOFTWARE
would be better?
"
Mission Statement
<snip>
2) Reduce complexity by eliminating support for platforms
other than Linux on x86, with either RTAI or RTLinux for
realtime. (DONE)
"
...I guess now I know why the ubc code is taking so long to make it into
mainline! ;-)
Actually all of the Mission Statements are flagged as either (DONE) or
(mostly DONE). Seems like it's time for some new goals!
