Please do not pull the K9 pinout. PMDX will be offering
a new product called the K9 CNC I/O Cape that will use
the same pinout. It is hopefully a distilled version of
the Smorgasboard with primary concern for supporting
the features needed for full size CNC machines such
as I/O expansion and ModBus.  

While 3D printers are not its main focus, provisions are
made for options that support 3D printers. The new K9
board has been prototyped, but we were waiting to 
announce it until we had at least one option board
ready to go.
