My guess is that simple on/off signals are needed to get the carousel in 
and out. The carousel and spindle park position may be more complicated 
but also may have its own controller that takes an on/off signal or 
status byte. My mill tool changer has a separate wire for each change 
function so it's just a matter of turning the proper wire on in the 
proper order. The draw bar should also just be one or two wires for tool 
in and out.

If you have done your mill conversion so far, the tool changer should 
just be more of the same, except for how you control the signal logic. I 
know a little C so I made a HAL component in C for my changers. Using 
ClassicLadder is popular too. I suspect you can use whatever programming 
method you already know about.

Figuring out what currently controls the carousel, spindle park and draw 
bar should be a big step forward, especially if it is a separate controller.
