AFAIK LinuxCNC will run only on x86 CPUs. To use BeableBone, BeagleBoard or any other ARM based hardware, you should look at Machinekit (it will run on x86 as well). And if you intend to use Machinekit, then I would suggest not to reinvent the wheel - there already is ongoing work regarding remote GUIs. I myself have successfully tested Machineface - remote GUI specifically for 3D printers - on my Android phone (not very convenient, because the screen is too small, it is meant for tablets etc). Then there is Cetus - Axis-like remote GUI, which I have not yet tested. For more information you should visit Machinekit Google group: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/machinekit ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dive into the World of Parallel Programming The Go Parallel Website, sponsored by Intel and developed in partnership with Slashdot Media, is your hub for all things parallel software development, from weekly thought leadership blogs to news, videos, case studies, tutorials and more.
