I'll throw my hat in the ring for a more embedded, dedicated appearing/functioning interface. I think such an option would make LCNC a more viable option for real, commercial application.
This could be anything from a configuration option or GUI, to a full blown dedicated kernel or anything in between. It seems to me that Tormach has already started down this path with Path Pilot. Although I have never actually seen it, from what I hear, it makes accessing the desktop and other PC functionality not functional or not obvious.
