When the little machine was converted, all I had left was the port reset 
time of 2300 ns in the hal file.  The old file was 2200 and ran ok.

I thought it had thrown out the pulse timings, but those only exist in 
the machines being run with a 5i25 card. I had forgotten that and when 
they were missing, I paniced for about 10 minutes.

I have a 5i25 card that is going into this machine at some point, along 
with a 42 volt supply to replace the existing 28 volt.  That ought to 
raise its speed limit into the 50 IPS region.

All I have to do is find my round tuit.  At 81 & counting, they seem to 
be in ever shorter supply. :(
