After a few hours of lurking I found old EMC sources. Original genhexkins from Sep 1999 says Written by R. Brian Register Later in 2006 Alex Joni adapted it. But a lot of the original code is still there. That genhexkins returns KINEMATICS_PARALLEL as kinematics type. Nice!
