Which until I ask for it in the hal file, apparently did not exist. I "hooked" it up and now it does. Crazy... > > I can't find it in the halmeter or halscope menu's. Checking grounds from the computer to the bob and beyond with an ohmmeter, I am getting intermittent and variable readings, often 0.00 but hold the connection for a few seconds it may go as high as 200 ohms! Since the ptc says its an amp, and it was destroyed on that 5i25, I am now printing the 5i25 manual. I am thinking the ground(s) on the pci socket may be duff now. So I've unplugged the cable from the bob, and will next check for a good ground on all 4 of the grounded pins next at the bob end of the cable. And I think the bob is running on the optional 5 volts the 5i25 says it can supply. Its pwr led has not flickered. Before that, I found the crazyness affected all 3 axises, and to an extent, the spindle drive as you can hear it hammering the backlash in the head gearing like its drive isn't exactly steady either.
