If refering to the 7i90HD, don't get it anywhere near a noisy 5 volt line 
without a triplet of 7i42TA's which contain the snubbers to protect its 
3.3 volt fpga circuitry. They make it bulletproof AND supply very nice 
terminal connection facilities to wire it up with. Each 7i42TA handles 
24 of its i/o pins on the 50 pin socket. It does run the price up 
though.
