Hello!

My name is Randy Steiner and I recently joined the mail list as well as the IRC
channel.  I have been a linux cnc user for about 6 years and have been moving
into more complex machine configurations.  I am looking to try to help out
where I can.  I have been a developer for too many years at this time, across
many different languages.  I have developed kernel modules in the past, though
it has been a few years.  I am looking to help with code, image builds, or
documentation, wherever help is needed the most.

I have poked around in the git repo, but I am a little lost to what the current
status is.  I am wondering if there is a master document somewhere there is a
list of everything which needs to be done beyond the issues list?  Is there a
road map document covering the desired goals for the next couple of releases?
Also I note there is a label / tag for the 2.8 pre release set, but not a
forked branch in the repo.  is that a private one, or maybe located somewhere
else?

I can also set up a build server slave as well to help out if that would be
beneficial.  I have some compute resources I could throw at that task.

I am excited to help if I can, and will do my best to contribute in a
meaningful way.  Just let me know where I could start and maybe take a couple
of minor tasks across the finish line to start off with.

Thanks!

Randy
