I would expect it to work just fine for you Gene - you are using GUIs that have 
been adapted already.
I am using python to program a new GUI and noticed that it seems unnecessarily 
complicated on the other GUIs.
I'm suggesting that the docs are lacking/easy-to-misunderstand and that we 
could do the implementation better IMHO.
I'm looking for opinions and possible arguments not to do as I suggested.
