Another topic is what to do about 32-bit and 64-bit
kernels. I've been too busy to do much, but I
suspect there is code in my ppmc driver that will not work
right on a 64-bit build.
There was a discussion about this on the 4th of February and I believe
that a solution was found.
However looking on Github i do not see any evidence that the fix was applied.

As far as the ISO images go RTAI will necessarily be 64-bit. I was
expecting the same to be true for PREEMPT-RT.
I would be surprised if many owners of obligate-32 bit systems would
be intending to upgrade to the latest OS via an ISO install.
I don't think that I have a 32-bit machine to test on. The oldest I
have is probably a D525 from 10 years ago.

Are you in a position to test the drivers on a 64-bit machine?

Yes, I have a machine that is pretty much dedicated to this sort of testing, but I don't think it has a 64-bit kernel on it now. Inertia has prevented me from setting one up on that machine.

Thanks,

Jon
