He might snoop thru the bios to see if hyperthreading is enabled, Jon. That forced change in context isn't terribly friendly to latency. Thats guessing though, everything I have here is i5's except the pi, and the i5's are surprisingly good. The D525MW/atoms I had have all died of old age.
