You need Pi to calculate surface speed, but not trigonometry. But to
make that really simple we could mandate that spindle speeds all be
stated in radians per second.
Maybe if others do it but otherwise probably not.

Fanuc - degrees.  (But offers G51 part rotation in deg and G52 in rad)
Duet - radians.
Mach3 - degrees
Fagor - degrees
Mitsubishi - degrees

Four out of five in degree then, only Duet in radians. That's different, degree ought to be a a good choice for geometry. Guess there are many cases then fit corners accurate is simpler in degrees.
