At launch, it spits "Using POSIX non-realtime". That said, I can't see any overruns on linuxcnc, but jitter is very bad with latency-test and latency-histogram After upgrading to 2.8.3, linuxcnc spits "Using POSIX realtime" and throws an overrun inmediately. After installing linuxcnc-uspace-rtai-2.8.3, I got "Using LXRT realtime", no overruns with axis sim carving the linuxcnc example. Latency-test reports some 16056 ns max base jitter and 999570 ns max servo jitter in perhaps two-three minutes. Latency-histogram reports max base jitter 13.6 us, max servo jitter 10,5 us. That would be more or less the same this machine gives while using rt-preempt. BTW, I wonder why uninstallin linuxcnc-uspace gives a dependency hell... but linuxcnc-uspace-rtai is to be installed along with linuxcnc-space I guess? _______________________________________________ Emc-developers mailing list Emc-developers@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-developers
