If this passes then we would probably have no alternative but to not
allow the use of LinuxCNC in Washington State.
I see no way at all for LinuxCNC to comply. But I also see no way at
all to prevent the use of LinuxCNC in Wa.
Well, it only affects people who **SELL** 3D printers or CNC
subtractive machines.
There apparently is no wording to apply to USERS of such machines.
Of course, we all understand that this is quite unworkable, as
somebody will certainly figure out how to make the models pass scrutiny.
Wow, it must be equipped with "blocking features". Would the
legislators like to tell us HOW some program is supposed to tell the
difference between G-code for a Pratt & Whitney fuel nozzle and a
ghost gun part? What about updates? Or would all submitted G-code
files need to be sent to the secretary of state for approval? I'll
bet people working for 3-letter government agencies would LOVE that!

Actually Jon, we should look at the bright side, it would supply a job
for all the machinists that understand g-code, but were now unemployed
but now are running all the terrabytes of g-code we'd have to submit so
they could judge what fell out when the product was made. We could
multiply the guvmnt waste payroll by 4 or 5. Truckers aren't delivering
in Kalipornia cuz newsome outlawed trucks that don't run on gas. Grocery
store shelves are empty ack the rumors. Something in the water on the
left coast bears investigating. There's not much else that could
explain such rampant stupidity.
We should occasionally check the Trinity County CA crop report as a
reality check. They grow the worlds finest wacky weed around
Weaverville, got into all sorts of stuff cuz they included it in one of
their annual crop reports. By far the highest total income. Sac. raised
hell. So they left it out of the next years report booklet but used a
pix of it on the front cover, proving the county had the last word.
