Large Corporations indeed do have their "in-house" standards, so do any number of small corporations.
Those standards are the result of years of study on failed products, an investment that often is far from trivial. Those standards are what gives those corporations their competitive edge in the market place and makes some brands a "household name", because of their reliability. Obviously, those corporations know that the standards aren't enough AND, what is enough. Any employee of any corporation that has made that investment and tells this forum how to compete with his organization, should not expect a raise. Regards, Vic
