Assuming product is ITE/Telecom equipment, yes you need a fire enclosure if the power is not limited. If you limit the power to the LCD in accordance to UL1950/EN 60950, you will need to provide a fire enclosure in the unlimited circuit including any overcurrent protective devices to comply with the non-inherently power source limitation requirements; your LCD and bezels then become decorative parts which requires a minimum HB flammability rating. > If it does what are the requirements for the flamability of the screen and any > plastic protective covers fitted to it. VV If LCD is not power limited, a minimum V-1 rating is necessary for the enclosure (assuming your equipment is less than 18kg and not stationary or fixed). Protective covers if not part of the fire enclosure can be rated minimum HB. > Regards, > Duncan. > > > --------- > This message is coming from the emc-pstc discussion list. > To cancel your subscription, send mail to majord...@ieee.org > with the single line: "unsubscribe emc-pstc" (without the > quotes).
