I'm using Acrobat Reader 4.05b and can select text or graphics. I
think there was a change between Acrobat 3 and 4 which makes it
harder to work out.

On the Acrobat toolbar, the just to the right of the zoom icon and
left of the left arrow (first page) icon is the select icon. It
normally shows a 'T' to indicate text selection. Click and hold the
cursor on it to change the selection to column or graphics selection
tool. After choosing the correct mode use the mouse to select on the page.

Regards,

Robert Muir

Barry,

You need to get a full copy of Adobe Acrobat, not the Reader. Depending on
whether the original PDF document is password protected, you should be able
to a do page capture and make the text selectable. Then you can copy it into
the word processor of choice.

Hi,

When reading an EMC article in PDF file, I sometimes want to copy a couple
of sentences or paragraph to my MS WORD document. Most of times I failed.
But a few times I could do it. I don't know why. Do you have the same
experience?
