It's heavily frequency-dependent. At low frequencies, it's the end-to- end resistance that matters. As the frequency goes up, more energy can penetrate, but that depends on the dimensions of the gaps between the wires, and especially whether the spiral shielding has short-circuits between adjacent turns or not. -- Regards, John Woodgate, OOO - Own Opinions Only.
