Apart from Green/Yellow (or clear) for safety earth I don't think there is
anything in international safety standards except those in EN60204-1 for
machinery wiring.

However, I think you will find recommended colour codes in USA EIA standards -
and also in possibly in vehicle wiring standards.

does any one know of a European standard for colours of conductors used 
within equipment such as power supplies. I can find standards for fixed 
installation (BS 7671) but not for internal wiring.
