hello Group, In reading some in country requirements, I see that some country's require a factory inspection. I saw this thru the Intertek Global Conformity Website. Its very useful, but it didn't give details on the factory inspection, Does anyone in this forum know about this? Do they even perform this factory inspection? and if so, is similar to a product safety follow up services from a large lab such as UL/CSA/TUV. OR is it similar to reviewing ones TCF and maintaining its integrity. thanks for the opinions, Richard,

Ghery, Bill, Everyone The decision on the delay of the date of withdrawal of the superseded standard will be made by the CENELEC Technical Board at the end of February 2005. If it is agreed, the new date (1 August 2007) will be proposed to the Commission to change the date of cessation of presumption of conformity listed in the Official Journal. As far as using the standards under Article 10.1 of the Directive is concerned, the latter is the important decision. Generally speaking, the Commission accepts dates proposed by CENELEC, but is not obliged so to do. The voting on EN 55022:2005 closes on 29 July 2005.
